Based on a 250 cm³ A1R “Samurai” bored out to 63 mm, the ’68 A7R made 53 bhp at 9,500 rpm, achieving victories that year in the Kuala Lumpur and Singapore 350cc Grands Prix.
The later model A7RS, featuring a dry clutch and improved frame and brakes, offered even more competitive performance.
