• KR350 / KR250 (1974-)

By far the most successful of all Kawasaki 2-stroke road-racers were the KR250 and KR350. Their extremely advanced and radical design featured tandem twin engines with rotary inlet valves and two counter-rotating crankshafts. The chassis featured lightweight, compact frames and a newly developed Uni-Trak monoshock rear suspension. In the capable hands of Kork Ballington and Anton Mang, two of Kawasaki’s most accomplished champions, the KRs virtually dominated the 250cc and 350cc classes from 1978 to 1982. Together, the KR250 and KR350 amassed a total of 72 Grand Prix victories with eight World Championships.
