• KR500 (1980-)

After dominating the 250 and 350 classes Kawasaki Racing’s next move was into the premier 500cc category with the four-cylinder KR500. This revolutionary machine was powered by a square-four engine and featured an aluminium semi-monocoque frame with integral fuel tank. The KR500 became more competitive with every race, but Kawasaki’s withdrawal from Grand Prix racing at the end of ’82 also marked the retirement of the famed KR500.
