Ryan Villopoto won two consecutive AMA Supercross championships on the KX450F. This machine is based on the 2012 production model and tuned by KMC in the U.S. To reduce weight it features various titanium parts including the front wheel spokes. New features include a launch control mode for quick starts on surfaces with poor traction. During 2012, Villopoto was unable to ride in the final races of the season, but by winning nine of the fifteen races he still managed to defend his title.
