• H2R (1972-)

With the two-stroke 748 cm3 H2 setting the ’72 performance standard for production supersport machines, a racing H2R soon followed. To prevent the front wheel from coming off the ground at very high speeds, airplane maker Kawasaki utilised its advanced aeronautical technology to design a stabiliser into the fairing. In the hands of Gary Nixon this machine won the 1973 AMA Road Racing Championship.
