For 2009 the Ninja ZX-6R received a full model change and entered Supersport championships in countries around the world. In this hyper-competitive racing arena the Ninja ZX-6R showed amazing performance and was always near the front. Beginning in 2011 the Ninja ZX-6R entered the Asia Road Racing Championship, where Katsuaki Fujiwara won eight of twelve races and took the title in a dominating display of Kawasaki high performance. In 2012, Kenan Sofuoglu won the Supersport World Championship in a brilliant display of calculated riding. With still one race left in the series, Kawasaki had already wrapped up the title.
