      We released RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX.
Previous KX models featured a KX FI Calibration Kit that allowed ECU tuning using a dedicated Calibration Controller that connected to the machine via cable. With RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX, all of that is now possible with only a smartphone and a Bluetooth connection. Featuring a simple, easy-to-use interface, RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX makes it easy for riders to tune a compatible KX motocross machine to find the best engine mapping for the current riding conditions.
Additionally, a monitoring function displays information directly from the KX in real time, and is a useful, convenient feature for a competition-focused machine that does not have an instrument panel.
Once the riding is done, a built-in setup memo keeping function is available to keep track of which setups worked for which conditions. This gives riders a quick reference to get their machine just right. There is also a similar function for maintenance memos, making it simple to record maintenance done to the KX and ensuring the owner is ready for the next oil change or air filter replacement.

Application Function FAQ
RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX
  • Q. I don't know how to connect my vehicle to the app.
    A. You can connect your vehicle in Options > Setup Dongle. Please refer to the tutorial for details.
  • Q. I am prompted to enter a PIN code, but I don't know what to enter.
    A. The PIN code can be found on the communications unit. Please refer to the tutorial for details.
  • Q. Smartphone connection mode cannot be canceled.
    A. Smartphone connection mode automatically ends two minutes after the app is last used. If you use the app (send or receive maps) while connected, the timer will reset and re-extend. If you wish to cancel the connection mode at any time, long-press the engine stop button for five seconds or more. 　
  • Q. What do the "FI" and "IG" settings do?
    A. Use "FI" to change the fuel injection amount, and use "IG" to change the ignition timing.
  • Q. Are the upper and lower change limits for FI and IG the same for the entire map?
    A. The upper and lower limits differ depending on the engine speed and the throttle opening. The upper and lower limits also differ depending on the model, model year and power mode (full or mild).
  • Q. How do I delete a created map?
    A. On the mpa list, select the map you want to delete and swipe left, then delete it using the displayed menu.
  • Q. I set a map in the app and sent it to the vehicle, but the values are not reflected.
    A. If the sent values exceed the upper and lower limits, values corrected to the upper and lower limits will be reflected. If no error message is displayed, this is not a fault.
  • Q. I sent a map with the engine running, but the values are not reflected.
    A. You cannot send maps when the engine is running. Please stop the engine and send the map again. Please refer to the tutorial for details.
  • Q. I sent a map during a vehicle failure but the map is not reflected.
    A. You cannot send maps during a vehicle failure. Please take action with respect to the failure and then send the map again. For more information on vehicle failures, refer to the user manual that came with the vehicle.
  • Q. Can I apply maps that I have created to both power modes?
    A. Created maps can be applied by sending the maps to each power mode, but because the base output characteristics differ depending on the power mode, the characteristics will not be the same.
  • Q. The MAP does not reset even if I use "MAP Reset."
    A. The MAP can only be reset in the selected power mode (full or mild).
  • Q. The text on the map is too small to read.
    A. Option > You can change the map's text size in Option > UI Setting.
  • Q. How do I delete a registered model?
    A. On the model list, select the model you want to delete and swipe left, then delete it using the displayed menu.
  • Q. How do I delete a created setup log?
    A. On the setup log list, select the setup log you want to delete and swipe left, then delete it using the displayed menu.
  • Q. How do I delete a created maintenance log?
    A. On the maintenance log list, select the maintenance log you want to delete and swipe left, then delete it using the displayed menu.
