    RIDEOLOGY THE APP POWERSPORTS has been released.
“RIDEOLOGY THE APP” is a smartphone application that allows riders to connect with the instrument panel of their Kawasaki vehicle wirelessly via Bluetooth. When using “RIDEOLOGY THE APP” for Side x Side, a number of instrument functions can be accessed and settings can be changed from a smartphone device.
01. Vehicle Information
Information about the vehicle such as odometer, total hour, fuel gauge, etc can be viewed via the smartphone.
02. Trip Log
The date, route, distance and ride time can all be recorded. Running information such as current vehicle speed and engine RPM are all measured and are available for review.
03. Maintenance
You can review records of past maintenance. The maintenance notes can also include the location where the maintenance was performed and images.
04. Group Ride

With the Group Ride function, a group can be created allowing group members to view each other’s locations on the in-app map on their smartphone. This makes it simple to stay together and be connected with friends for even more fun and convenient rides.

  • Q. Which vehicles can this app connect to?
    A. Refer to "RIDEOLOGY THE APP POWERSPORTS Compatible Models" on this site.
  • Q. How do I connect my vehicle to the app?
    A. To add a vehicle, select "Vehicle List" from the menu in the upper left corner of the home screen. Please make sure that Bluetooth is turned on for both the vehicle's instruments and your smartphone.
  • Q. What should I do if the Bluetooth symbol appears on my vehicle's instruments, but the app says it can't connect?
    A. Remove the vehicle's connection information from your smartphone's Bluetooth settings, then connect again from the new registration screen.
  • Q. The connection fails even if the PIN code is entered. What should I do?
    A. If the PIN code displayed on the instruments is 5 digits or less, the connection may not function correctly even if you enter the PIN code. Please enter a 0 at the start of the PIN code to increase it to 6 digits.
  • Q. The PIN code entry screen does not appear in the app. What should I do?
    A. The PIN code entry screen will vary depending on your smartphone. Check your phone's notification list for Bluetooth pairing notifications.
  • Q. The app can't be used once it's connected to the vehicle.
    A. For your safety, the app cannot be used while you are driving. The vehicle will become operational when stopped. Stop the vehicle in a safe place before operating.
  • Q. GPS data is recorded incorrectly.
    A. GPS data is highly dependent on your smartphone settings and the surrounding environment at the time of recording. Particularly when your device is set to low battery or power saving mode, accurate location information may not be recorded and the trip log times may not match.
  • Q. GPS is not recorded.
    A. Location information cannot be obtained if the permission setting for location information is not set to "Always". Please make sure that the permission setting for location information is set to "Always".
  • Q. What is the maximum number of hours that a trip log can record?
    A. Trips can be recorded for 24 hours from the start of recording. Please note that recording will stop if the trip exceeds 24 hours.
  • Q. What is the key symbol in the upper left corner of the trip log?
    A. The key symbol indicates that the trip log is private. You can share your trip data with other users by making the trip log public.
  • Q. If I change to a new smartphone, will I keep the trip logs from my previous device?
    A. Trip logs backed up in the cloud can continue to be viewed even if you change devices. Take care as trip logs that have not been backed up will be lost.
  • Q. Where are exported trip logs stored?
    A. It will be saved in the download folder of the standard file application of the smartphone.
  • Q. What is a Group Ride?
    A. Group Ride is a feature that allows users who have joined a group created within the app to share their location information with each other.
  • Q. How do I create a group?
    A. From the menu button at the bottom right of the map screen, select “Group Ride.” Then, from the footer menu of the displayed Group Ride screen, select “Create Group” and enter the group name and destination. Note: The destination can also be registered later.
  • Q. How many groups can I create?
    A. You can belong to up to 10 groups. These include groups you have created yourself, groups you have joined, and groups you have requested to join.
  • Q. How can I add members to a group?
    A. You can invite members to the group by sharing the group code or QR code displayed on the group details screen. The QR code can be accessed via the share button located to the right of the group code. Invited members will send a join request, so the group creator (owner) should approve it from the group details screen.
  • Q. How can I join the group?
    A. To join a group, tap the “Join group” button at the bottom of the Group Ride screen. You can join using one of the following methods:
    1. Enter the group code shared by the group creator (owner).
    2. Scan the QR code displayed by the owner using the app’s QR code reader.
    Once you send a join request, the group creator (owner) must approve it from the group details screen.
  • Q. How many people can join a group?
    A. Up to 10 people can join.
  • Q. What is a group owner?
    A. The creator of a group is called the owner. The owner can:
    1. Approve participation requests from users who want to join the group.
    2. Manage the members who have joined the group.
  • Q. How can I start location sharing (group ride)?
    A. Turning on the toggle switch for the group you want to share your location with will start location sharing.
  • Q. How do I stop sharing my location?
    A. Turning off the group toggle switch during a group ride will stop sharing your location.
  • Q. What happens when you turn on the toggle switch in a group?
    A. When the toggle switch is turned on in a group, your location information will be shared (starting the group ride). You will also be able to view the location information of other members participating in the same group ride.
  • Q. What happens when you turn off the toggle switch in a group?
    A. Turning off the toggle switch will stop sharing your location. You will also no longer be able to see the locations of other users. Turning the toggle switch back on will resume location sharing.
  • Q. What is the orange bell icon that appears on the map screen during a group ride?
    A. The orange bell icon displayed on the map screen is the assistant feature. When you tap the bell icon, it activates assistant mode, which highlights your location to other members during the group ride.
  • Q. How can I set or change the destination?
    A. You can set the destination by selecting “Go to Settings” during group creation or editing. There are two ways to set the destination: by searching for the destination name or by long-pressing on the map. Please note that the changes will not be applied unless you save the group after making the changes.
  • Q. What is the difference between this app and RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE?
    A. This app is intended for off-road four-wheel vehicle or watercraft users. Motorcycle owners should use the RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE application.
  • Q. If my vehicle is stolen, can I use this app to track it?
    A. This is not possible. This app does not have functions to prevent theft or detect stolen vehicles. Please be wary of theft.
