“RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2” is a smartphone application that connects to compatible motorcycles via Bluetooth. The app allows riders to perform engine tuning, record and share trip logs, and access a variety of other functions directly from their smartphone.

Using data from the machine's GPS, the trip log function allows riders to create track maps and analyse their performance. Trip logs can also be shared online, allowing riders to reference logs published by other KX users.

For simple engine tuning, riders can intuitively select from preconfigured Preset Maps to suit their desired settings. Riders can also configure traction control and launch control settings.

Engine running hours can be checked directly within the app, helping riders keep track of part replacement and maintenance intervals.

The real-time Monitoring function allows riders to monitor machine status, including gear position, engine rpm, throttle position, coolant temperature, intake air temperature and battery voltage.

  • Q. Which vehicles are compatible with RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2?

  • Q. How do I connect my vehicle to the app?
    A. From the menu in the upper-left corner of the Home screen, go to "Manuals", then select "Bluetooth connection".
  • Q. The PIN code entry screen does not appear in the app. What should I do?
    A. The PIN code entry screen may vary depending on your smartphone. Please check the notification list on your smartphone for a Bluetooth pairing request.
  • Q. Vehicle registration fails. What should I do?
    A. To register your vehicle, the model selected in the app must match your vehicle. Please make sure the model and model year are selected correctly.
  • Q. Automatic reconnection to the vehicle does not work.
    A. If automatic reconnection does not occur, possible causes include Bluetooth settings issues, the vehicle not being in a connectable state, or the connection information having been reset. In addition, automatic reconnection may not be available after reinstalling the app on iOS devices, or depending on the vehicle's operating state. If the issue persists, please unpair the device and perform the pairing process again.
  • Q. Why can't I use the tuning feature?

  • Q. Do you have any tips for engine tuning?
    A. From the menu in the upper-left corner of the Home screen, go to "Manuals", then select "Engine Setup".
  • Q. What is the difference between the Mild and Aggressive preset maps in Power Mode?
    A. Mild provides smoother power delivery in response to throttle input, making the vehicle easier to control. Aggressive delivers sharper, stronger throttle response for a more responsive riding experience.
  • Q. Could changing the engine tuning prevent me from participating in a race?
    A. Depending on the changes made to the engine tuning, the vehicle may no longer comply with competition regulations, including noise limits. It is your responsibility to ensure that the modified vehicle complies with the regulations of the event and class in which you intend to participate.
  • Q. Why isn't my Trip log being recorded?
    A. To enable trip log recording on the vehicle-side communication unit, connect the app to the communication unit once. After the connection is complete, trip log recording remains enabled even when the app is not connected.
  • Q. I enabled trip log recording on the vehicle-side communication unit, but my trip log is not downloading.
    A. There may be an issue with the vehicle-side communication unit. Replacement may be required in some cases, so please have your vehicle inspected and repaired by your nearest dealer.
  • Q. I enabled trip log recording on the vehicle-side communication unit, but my location information is not being recorded.
    A. Location information is obtained from the vehicle-side GPS. Because the GPS turns on after the engine starts, it may take several minutes to obtain stable location information. Before riding, please use the app's Monitor feature to confirm that location information is being received.
  • Q. Why is the recorded location information different from my actual location?
    A. Location accuracy depends on the surrounding environment. In areas where satellite signals may be obstructed by trees, buildings, or other obstacles, accurate location information may not be available, and the recorded location may differ from your actual location.
  • Q. How many hours of trip logs can be recorded?
    A. The vehicle-side communication unit can store approximately 3 hours of trip log data in total. As the storage capacity approaches its limit, older data may be deleted, so we recommend downloading your trip logs after each practice session or race.
  • Q. I downloaded my trip log, but it does not appear in the trip log list.
    A. Trip logs older than 168 hours (7 days) cannot be created. We recommend downloading your trip logs after each practice session or race.
  • Q. Why is downloading my trip log taking so long?
    A. Download time depends on the amount of trip log data recorded. We recommend downloading your trip logs after each practice session or race. Trip log backups are stored in the cloud, so for best results, download them in an area with a stable internet connection.
  • Q. How can I measure lap times in a trip log?
    A. You can set up a timing line from the Trip Log edit screen.
  • Q. Why hasn't the hour meter been updated?
    A. The hour meter is updated when the app connects to the vehicle.
  • Q. Why am I not receiving reminder notifications?
    A. Make sure notifications are enabled for this app in your device settings.
  • Q. Why is the Monitor screen not displayed?
    A. The Monitor feature is only available while the app is connected to the vehicle.
  • Q. What is the difference between RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2 and RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX?

  • Q. What is the difference between Vehicle Reset and Vehicle Delete?
    A. Use Vehicle Reset when selling your vehicle or returning a rental vehicle. This will delete the engine tuning and riding data stored on your vehicle. To remove a vehicle from the app, use Vehicle Delete. Be sure to perform a Vehicle Reset before deleting the vehicle from the app.
  • Q. Why is the app using so much storage?
    A. You can reduce the app's storage usage by clearing the trip log cache. Even after the cache is cleared, you can download trip log backups from the cloud and continue accessing your trip logs.
