Kawasaki’s new advanced infotainment functionality can bring new experiences to every ride. Kawasaki SPIN* is a launcher-style smartphone app displayed on the motorcycle’s LCD instrument panel that can be navigated via switches on the handlebars.
Once displayed on the motorcycle’s LCD screen, the app functions using the same interface as a smartphone.
By downloading third-party apps compatible with Kawasaki SPIN, common functions like navigation, music streaming, and weather reports can be added and used. Currently available apps are listed in Kawasaki SPIN’s library, which will continue to be expanded. The following five apps are included as standard to support your riding lifestyle.

RIDEOLOGY THE APP Kawasaki SPIN
  • When operating RIDEOLOGY THE APP Kawasaki SPIN (hereinafter, “App”) on the smartphone, stop or park your vehicle in a safe place.
    If you use the App while driving, confirm the safety considering the traffic conditions.
    (For use while driving, please check the laws, regulations, etc. of your country, region, and local government.)
  • Q. How does it relate to the Kawasaki SPIN app?
    A. The App is connected to a vehicle through Kawasaki SPIN app. (Vehicle Mode)
    Some functions (Riding Log, Settings) of the App can be displayed and operated on the meter screen in the Vehicle Mode.
    It is also possible to use the App alone. You can browse the Riding Log that you recorded and check the information at the time of the final connection with the vehicle. (Phone Mode)
  • Q. Which vehicle models are compatible?
    A. Following models are compatible at the moment.
    - Ninja H2 SX/Ninja H2 SX SE (2022 models or later)
  • Q. Which smartphone OS is supported
    A. iOS 13 or later, or Android 10 or later are required.
    *Not compatible with tablets.
  • Q. What are Vehicle Mode and Phone Mode?
    A. Vehicle Mode is a mode in which the Kawasaki SPIN app, which is required to connect to a vehicle, is connected to the vehicle.
    In the Vehicle Mode, the app screen is mirrored to the vehicle meter screen. Lock screen is displayed on the smartphone, and all operations other than unlocking the Vehicle Mode becomes impossible.
    In the Phone Mode, the Kawasaki SPIN app is not connected to a vehicle. Please use the App on your smartphone. Functions that require connection to a vehicle cannot be used.
    You can switch between the two modes on the Kawasaki SPIN app.
  • Q. How do I pair a smartphone with a vehicle?
    A. The App alone cannot be paired with a vehicle.
    To connect to a vehicle, use the Kawasaki SPIN app and follow the steps below to pair with the vehicle.
    1. Install the App and sign up as a user.
    2. Start the Vehicle Mode on the Kawasaki SPIN app.
    * For pairing Kawasaki SPIN app, please check the FAQ of the Kawasaki SPIN app, too.
    * In the Vehicle Mode, you can operate the App with the steering wheel switches.
    3. Apps are displayed on the Kawasaki SPIN app screen on the meter. You can use the apps by selecting them.
  • Q. What can I do in Vehicle Mode?
    A. On the app screen on the meter (Vehicle Mode), you can use the Riding Log and Settings. Operation can be performed with the steering wheel switches of the vehicle.
    Both Riding Log and Settings modes can be switched with the Up and Down buttons on the steering wheel.
    Riding Log: Operations such as starting and stopping the Riding Log are possible.
    Settings: You can change the setting of GPS accuracy, whether email notification on the smartphone is displayed on the meter, etc.
  • Q. After I started the App, error screen appeared. I cannot proceed further.
    A. To use the App, you need to confirm and agree to the privacy policy and terms of use, and set some permissions on the smartphone.
    The setting can only be confirmed and done in the Phone Mode (on the smartphone).
    Please switch to the Phone Mode once, complete confirmation and setting, and use the App again.
  • Q. Do I need to sign up as a user?
    A. Yes, you can use the App after sign-up.
  • Q. Can I operate the smartphone while pairing it with a vehicle?
    A. You cannot operate the smartphone during pairing. Only operation with the steering wheel switches on the vehicle side is possible.
    Some functions that may interfere with driving become unavailable.
    When operating the smartphone, stop the vehicle in a safe place and cancel the pairing once.
    (Swipe up the Vehicle Mode on the Kawasaki SPIN app and display the App screen to cancel.)
    When performing the pairing again, select the Vehicle Mode button on the lower right on the Kawasaki SPIN app screen.
  • Q. If pairing is not possible:
    A. Pairing is performed through Kawasaki SPIN app. Please check the FAQ of the Kawasaki SPIN app.
  • Q. What kind of function does the Vehicle Information provide?
    A. You can check basic information such as mileage and remaining fuel and setting information such as riding mode and electronically controlled suspension at the time the vehicle was connected last time.
    Such information can be confirmed through Vehicle Information tab on the Phone Mode app screen.
  • Q. What is the Riding Log?
    A. With the Riding Log functions, you can save and browse the driving route of the vehicle connected to the app, as well as the vehicle’s conditions such as gear settings, throttle opening, and engine speed at the time of driving.
    Riding Log can be saved in the Vehicle Mode. And the Riding Log that was acquired through the Riding Log tab in the Phone Mode can be browsed.
    *If you did not save the Log while acquiring the Riding Log in the Vehicle Mode before switching to the Phone Mode, the Log can be browsed by saving and completing the recording of the Log from the tab on the lower center on the Phone Mode app screen.
  • Q. I want to use the App after purchasing a new vehicle. Does the Riding Log data of the previous vehicle remain?
    A. Yes, it does. Even if you switch to a different vehicle, all Riding Log data remains to be saved.
    However, for Ninja H2 SX/Ninja H2 SX SE (2022 model or later), use the App. For other models, use another app RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE.
  • Q. When I switch to a new smartphone, does the previous Riding Log data of the vehicle remain?
    A. Yes, it does. Even if you change the smartphone, all the Riding Log data remains to be saved in the cloud storage.
    In addition, if you use another app RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE with the same user account, the App and the Riding Log data are linked.
  • Q. How many hours at a maximum can the Riding Log record?
    A. Riding Log can record for a maximum of 24 hours.
    To protect the battery of the smartphone, the Riding Log shuts down automatically when the battery level drops below 10%.
  • Q. What is R.Score?
    A. It is the abbreviation for Rideology score, which indicates the level of comfort when driving as defined by Kawasaki.
    Four colors are used to indicate the level of comfort on the map. The darker the color, the more comfortable you feel when driving.
  • Q. What is the “key” mark on the upper right on the Riding Log?
    A. It means that the Riding Log is not published. You can share your driving data with other users by publishing the Riding Log.
  • Q. What is Favorite Log?
    A. You can search the Riding Log of other users whose Riding Log is published on the App and the RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE app, and add their Riding Logs in the Favorite Log.
    Use them as reference for the touring routes in your neighborhood or those you wish to visit in the future.
  • Q. I forced a shutdown of the App while recording the Riding Log. In this case, won’t I able to check the Riding Log recorded up to that point?
    A. No, there is a possibility that you won’t able to check the Riding Log recorded.
    Don’t force a shutdown of the App and Kawasaki SPIN app while recording the Riding Log.
  • Q. Is it possible to start or stop recording while driving?
    A. Yes, it is.
    When using it, confirm the safety considering the traffic conditions.
  • Q. The recording time seems to be inaccurate.
    A. Recording is automatically stopped during the period when pairing is canceled by turning off the ignition switch or switching to the Phone Mode.
    Therefore, the actual time that has passed and the recorded time may differ.
    Please make sure that Kawasaki SPIN app is in the Vehicle Mode while recording the Riding Log.
  • Q. I canceled the Vehicle Mode without finishing the recording. In this case, how do I finish the recording?
    A. You can perform operations required for completing the recording on the smartphone app (Phone Mode).
  • Q. Animation is not displayed properly.
    A. We are afraid that it may not be displayed properly depending on the model of the smartphone.
  • Q. What kind of functions does Map have?
    A. Map can search the route from the place where the App was last connected to the vehicle or your current location to the vehicle.
    You can also check if there are any users of the App or the RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE app nearby.
    *When sharing the location information with other users, you need to set it to be published.
    Map can be used through the Map tab on the Phone Mode app screen.
  • Q. What can I do with Profile?
    A. You can edit your account profile such as nickname, ride history, and the area you live. In addition, profile editing allows you to change the settings for publishing these profile information and location information to other users.
    You can also check the Maintenance Log and statistical information, which can be used from the Profile tab on the Phone Mode app screen.
  • Q. What is Maintenance Log?
    A. It allows you to keep the maintenance history of your vehicle.
    You can use the Maintenance Log by finding the Maintenance Log in the Profile tab and Add Maintenance Log button on the lower right on the screen.
  • Q. What kind of functions are Statistical Information/Ranking?
    A. You can check the mileage up to now and the mileage ranking of other users while connecting to the RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE, which you used with the same user account as the App.
    Check the data by following the steps below: Profile tab on the Phone Mode app screen -> Statistical Information -> Mileage Details -> Ranking button on the upper right
  • Q. There is no change in the Statistical Information after recording the Riding Log.
    A. Statistics are updated four times a day. Please wait for a while until it is updated.
  • Q. The result of recording the Riding Log is not reflected in the ranking.
    A. Ranking is updated four times a day. Please wait for a while until it is updated.
  • Q. Is it possible to keep private the fact that I am ranked high?
    A. In the future update, we will provide a support so that users can select an option to keep their information private. Please wait for a while.
  • Q. If the vehicle is stolen, does the App serves as a GPS tracker to chase the vehicle?
    A. No, it does not. The App is not the one for preventing theft or finding stolen vehicles. Please be careful about theft.
  • Q. Is there a way to reduce the battery drain of the smartphone?
    A. You can reduce battery drain by lowering the GPS accuracy. As for GPS accuracy, battery consumption decreases in the order of high accuracy, balance, and battery saving. Battery consumption can be reduced by following the steps below: App settings on the upper left of the Phone Mode app screen > data linkage settings > GPS accuracy settings or the Vehicle Mode settings > change the accuracy of location information as needed.
  • Q. Is it possible to use apps for other models (RIDEOLOGY THE APP, RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE, etc.) concurrently?
    A. We are afraid that you cannot use such apps concurrently.
  • Q. I deleted my account, but I can still log in.
    A. We are afraid that you should log out from app settings. Procedures for deleting the account has been completed.
